Pete Farrugia - Musician

Pete Farrugia Live With Bluer than Blue, 1995
Hi. I'm a musician based in London, and I play guitar, bass guitar and I also sing, compose and dabble on keyboards.

My earliest memories of music are Little Richard and Chuck Berry on the radio in the early 60s - I must have been about 2 years old. Before the war my dad had been a singer with a band at home on the Mediterranean island of Malta. He also played a little guitar, and he loved to sing us old Maltese and Italian folk songs.

I was twelve when my folks bought me my first guitar - a 400 peseta Spanish classical, while were on holiday in Spain. Somehow it felt like the thing that had been missing from my hands for all of those years, and I never looked back.

After the usual schoolboy bands, I started a performing career that has taken me through many bands and styles of music.

My recent credits include a European Tour with the Excello Blues Legends: Earl Gaines and Al Garner..

Mostly these days, you'll find me playing lead guitar with authentic 1950's Rock'n'Roll band The Alleycats.

Here are some of my past credits:

Naturally, I am available for session work and "dep" gigs. I have good ears, lots of studio and live experience, and I pick up new songs very easily. If you need a guitarist or bass player, give me a ring.

As an experienced computer software developer, I have combined my two skills to develop some useful music software. Click here for details.

Also, I occasionally take on private guitar students. If you're serious about learning to play electric guitar, call me.
